In this article we are going to try and help you remove Junemike “Virus”. Our instructions cover all Windows versions as well as most browsers – Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer etc.

The article below is going to discuss the characteristic traits of Junemike “Virus”– an Adware-based program that, once installed on your machine, starts affecting all your browsers (Chrome / Firefox / Explorer) by making them produce immense numbers of pop-up ads and in this way may seriously interrupt your online activities. You will find more information about this piece of software below.

What does Junemike represent? How does it infect your PC?

As it has been mentioned above, experts identify Junemike as a type of advertisement-producing software or Adware. Such programs could be exceptionally irritating because the total number of the advertisements generated by them might be extremely big and this could slow down your PC or possibly prevent you from using all your browsers fully, no matter whether you use Firefox, Chrome or another one.

What you must know about all Adware-based programs is that they are legitimate marketing tools. You are probably already used to the advertisements you see on TV. The ones that your browser could be now producing as a result of Junemike’s effect on it are their online equivalent and there is nothing wrong with that. However, some users might get especially suspicious because the intensity of the pop-up, banner and/or box ads production could indeed be perceived as too aggressive and even somehow intrusive. The truth is that all such ad-generating software has been programmed to strive for big numbers of ads, because its creators get generously paid by vendors and producers to promote their goods, services and products via online advertising. The general belief is that if you are shown many pop-ups and boxes containing deals about a certain product or service, you are more likely to become interested in this product/service, click on the corresponding ad and actually purchase it. All these facts lead us to the way programs like this one normally get distributed. The methods of spreading Adware could generally be very diverse (torrents / spam emails / infected webpages). However, there is one whose success rate of distributing programs like Junemike is exceptionally high. This method is the creation and usage of software bundles. The programmers we have mentioned above are willing to earn more profits by promoting anything on the web so that they mix many different programs and gather them in a bundle. After that they offer these bundles, usually consisting of ad-broadcasting software and other programs, for free downloading.

The actual contamination process, though, is not limited to the download of such a program bundle. An installation is needed to allow it to influence your browsers and it cannot perform this by itself. The most effective prevention advice is to install any program on your device in a sensible way, because a thoughtless installation process will most probably leave you infected with unwanted software. Remember that most Adware-caused infections are results of improper installation practices like choosing the Automatic / Default or Quick setup wizard feature. Do not do that ever again. Instead, try to stick to the longer installation option – the Custom one, and you will have the opportunity to install any necessary program from a bundle on your computer without getting contaminated with Junemike.

If the process of getting infected with Junemike is called “contamination”, is this program a virus?

Fortunately, no virus characteristics really apply to Adware. No malicious activities and effects like destroying or corrupting data; sneaking into one’s system (as Trojans do); encoding files with a double encryption key (like Ransomware) or stealing and using any personal details apply to this type of programs. Still, some minor details about all ad-producing programs might seem too shady to some users. Such traits are their ability to show ads corresponding to your tastes, because they have reviewed your surfing history and determined what you could potentially be interested in; or the redirections that some of the displayed ads might result in, which could be considered potentially dangerous as they usually lead to unfamiliar and suspicious sites.

What about the process of removal of this annoying Adware?
