Isanalyze is a type of Browser redirect, which is by far the most annoying type of software out there. You may have downloaded it knowingly, assuming it would somehow enhance your browsing experience, whereas it ended up doing the exact opposite. However, it’s more likely that you are currently asking yourself where this intrusive program came from to begin with. Either way, we will give you full insight on the nature of this software, as well as tips on preventing it from coming back to haunt you. Below this article we’ve also included a removal guide, which will help you uninstall isanalyze, along with all of its components. But let’s first get to the bottom of this Browser redirect-based program.

What isanalyze does

You’re surely already aware of the main symptoms of having Browser redirect on your system. These include the numerous ads that keep ruining your browsing, the possibly changed homepage of your browser and even perhaps the changed default search engine. However, what is the meaning of all of this? The idea behind Browser redirect is to bombard you with ads and simultaneously gather information regarding your Internet surfing patterns, in order to swarm you with even more adverts in the form of banners, popups, box messages and in-text hyperlinks. So, the point of it all is to get you to click on as many adverts as possible, because that is what generates income for the developers. This is possible thanks to the Pay per click scheme, which is in fact a widespread online business model. The information related to your browsing activities is necessary in order to determine what you like, what interests you now and what you would be likely to purchase. This way you may have noticed similarities between your recent online searches and the ads you’ve started seeing shortly after. It’s no coincidence – that’s isanalyze at work.

isanalyze “Virus” or not?

There’s usually the slight controversy surrounding Browser redirect and its dubious properties. This also applies to isanalyze “Virus” as well. Many wrongly refer to this type of software as malicious or as a virus. The difference is pretty substantial and isanalyze is most certainly not a virus. For example, it cannot self-replicate, as viruses do, it cannot destroy data on your system, as viruses do, and it definitely can not lock your files and blackmail you for a ransom, as viruses like ransomware normally do. So, as you can see, from this perspective Browser redirect is more or less harmless. Not completely harmless, however. There are a few risks associated with Browser redirect that are worthy of consideration and might just prompt you towards removing the annoying program from your computer all the quicker. First of all, do you remember what we said about the software collecting your browsing information? This includes your search queries, the websites you visit, the frequency with which you visit them and even any personal details you may have entered using a non-secure connection. Browser redirect developers have the dirty reputation of selling this information to third parties, once it’s no longer of any use to them. Naturally, many have become extremely concerned with their privacy, because there’s simply no way of knowing who these third parties are and how they intend to utilize the acquired information.

In addition to this, there’s also the acute possibility of contracting some far more dangerous form of software by interacting with certain ads. It could happen that you click on a specific link or banner and are redirected to some malicious website, from which your system can easily be infiltrated by a Trojan or other virus. There’s also the factor of malvertisements, which is the number one distribution method for ransomware. The chance of you landing on one of these within the Browser redirect-generated adverts is pretty slim, but it’s still not to be neglected.

Distribution

Back to the point of how you may have gotten infected. So, unless you fell for a sneaky marketing trick, when isanalyze was promoted as a useful tool, there are several other possible sources you could have gotten the software from. Most likely it came within a program bundle, packaged with some free-/shareware or other program. You were only aware of the main program, when downloading it, and probably opted for the default setup in the installation wizard. That is how Browser redirect usually gets installed and the process goes unnoticed because users aren’t careful. To avoid this from happening, simply choose the advanced or custom settings in the installer and you’ll be able to choose what additional programs will be included in the installation process and which ones won’t.
