Welcome to our One Ransomware Virus removal guide. The following instructions will aid you in removing the unwanted software from your PC for free.

The information that you are about to read below concerns a very dangerous cryptovirus from the Ransomware type called One Ransomware. This threat is among the latest released, and it is able to silently encrypt the files found on your computer with a very complex encryption algorithm. Then it will blackmail you to pay ransom in exchange for a secret decryption key that may eventually get your encrypted files back. In the next lines, we are going to talk about how you can deal with such nasty malware in case that it infects you, and how to restore your files. If you stay with us until the end, you will find out more about the way this Ransomware spreads on the web, the tricky tactics it uses to blackmail you and the possible actions you can take against it. You will also find a removal guide at the end of this page, which may help you remove One Ransomware from your system. We can’t promise you miracles though, because a full recovery from a Ransomware attack of this type is very, very difficult. However, paying the ransom is surely not a good option, since you not only may not get your files back, but you may lose your money as well. So, take a look at what we have prepared here and wisely choose how to deal with the infection.

One Ransomware – a sophisticated threat with almost irreversible consequences.

In case that you have already been attacked by this new Ransomware, you probably know how dreadful the consequences of the attack are. Not only all of your valuable data has been encrypted with a secret algorithm, but on top of that, some anonymous hackers are now blackmailing you to pay ransom if you want to restore your data. What is more, they have probably placed a disturbing ransom note with all the payment instructions and a short deadline, after which they probably threaten that you will never see your files again. What a naughty criminal scheme, huh?! What is even worse about it is that such infections usually remain under the radar of most security software and there is practically no way to detect it and stop it before it has completed its malicious encryption to all of your files. This is the aim of the hackers – they create newer and more sophisticated cryptoviruses like One Ransomware just to ensure that the users will easily fall victim and will submit to the ransom demands to save their files. Unfortunately, the latest encryptions the hackers use make the consequences of the malware almost irreversible since the files cannot be accessed in any way unless the proper decryption key is applied.

Very tricky infection…

The crooks also use some very tricky infection methods. They spread the Ransomware in massive spam email campaigns, masking it as a seemingly harmless file or attachment, or a link, but it could be camouflaged also as an ad, a webpage, an installer, a torrent, or some attractive looking application. Trojan horses also have a finger in delivering Ransomware infections to the users’ computers, since they create security holes, which can easily be used by this type of malware. Since hardly any symptoms can be observed during the infection and the process of encryption, there is very little you could do to protect your PC. The good old file backups are the best solution, as this way, even if you have been attacked by a threat like One Ransomware, the only thing you need to do is to remove it. If you have your backups with you somewhere on external drive or a cloud, the crooks cannot blackmail you for your data and you can easily restore it once you delete the infection.

What to do if you don’t have file backups?

Unfortunately, not all people have the habit of keeping backups to their most important files. In this case, if they need their data, paying the ransom and receiving a decryption key may seem like the only best solution. However, we need to warn you that it doesn’t really work this way. The criminals are only interested in getting your money. Once they receive the payment, they will most probably disappear just like typical crooks. It is very unlikely that they will send you a decryption key, let alone that no one gives you a guarantee that it will really restore your files. A much safer option you could try is to remove the infection with the help of the removal guide below and try the file-restoration steps that we suggest. Yes, we cannot guarantee you will get all of your files back, but still, there is absolutely no risk for your money and you will lose nothing if you try.  Another option is to seek a professional’s help to assist you in recovering from the attack or use specialized decryption software.
